Extended Family Sessions

Gathering the whole crew? Extended family sessions are the perfect way to celebrate multiple generations all in one frame. As a Houston extended family photographer, I specialize in capturing the big group moments—and the small, meaningful ones in between.

How it Works

My extended family sessions are designed to give the everything you need and nothing you don't in five simple steps!

Step One: Book Your Session.

If you've booked with me before, this step is exactly like any other session. I will send you a proposal and you can book, sign your contract and pay your session fee all in once place. Give yourself a pat on the back. You did the hard part!

Step Two: Session Day!

Between booking and session day I'll walk you through selecting a date, location and all the prep. Then session day is here and trust me, these sessions are seriously fun! My extended family sessions are relaxed, well-organized, and filled with genuine moments. We’ll capture the big group shot (of course!), but also all the little combinations that matter—siblings, grandparent snuggles, and everything in between.

Step Three: The Wait.

Okay maybe I lied. This might be the hardest part. Waiting for your photos. Don't worry, I won't ghost you, you'll receive sneak peeks of your photos in the week after your session and emails from me to keep you up to date on your gallery's progress. My turnaround time is about 3 weeks.

Step Four: Gallery Delivery!

Your gallery is here! You will receive a slide show and your gallery to preview your images. Choose a time when everyone can view the slideshow and gallery because access to the preview is limited to 24 hrs, at which point you'll need to make a collection purchase... but the timing of the preview window is entirely up to you, and you can watch it and share it as much as you want during that window!

Step Five: Pick Your Collection.

The slideshow will include all of the images from your session so that you're able to make an informed choice about which collection best suits your needs. After selecting a collection you'll have 30 days to choose your digitals and use your print credit. Okay okay, THIS is definitely the hardest part 😅 I don't envy you trying to narrow your photos down!

FAQ

What's the difference between extended family and regular family/newborn sessions?

My regular sessions are typically one hour long, only include the nuclear family, and are more focused on connection photos. They also include the entire gallery.

Extended family sessions sometimes take more than and hour, are more focused on getting all the different portrait combos, and require the purchase of collections.

How much do they cost?

The session fee for these sessions is $350. After your session you will purchase a collection that will include both digital files and a great print credit.

Why collections for these sessions?

I have found that because we are getting the whole family together my clients are wanting not only the digital files but actual physical prints. Organizing the sessions this way gives you the best of both worlds!

How many family members can we include?

These sessions are perfects for this family structure: Grandparents, their adult children and grandchildren.

If you are hoping to host a session larger than 12 people we will need to discuss the session in more depth and pricing could increase.
