Quarterly Branding Prep Guide
SESSION START TIME
Please plan to arrive no later than 5-10 minutes early to your location. I know getting out the door with everything you need for pictures is insane, but this will give you a chance to fix hair, check makeup, and breathe.
When your session is a mini session, arriving early is super important. Your session is only 30 minutes long, and there is likely another client scheduled right after you. If you are 10 minutes late, your session time just got cut in half. 😱

CLOTHES
I want you to feel beautiful and I also want what you wear to reflect you and your business. When choosing your outfit think about:
- What amount of dressiness is appropriate (business or more casual)
- I love mixing color and pattern, so don't be afraid of that, and think about colors that look good on you and fit your brand
- Super bright red/pink/orange create a weird reflection on skin, so it's best to avoid wearing shirts in those colors (for pants, skirts and accessories, it is fine).
- Accessories look great in photos, choose fun shoes and accessories to let your outfit and personality shine.
- Don’t forget to clean up chipped nail polish!
Are accessories important?
YES! And not just for your outfit. Having accessories related to your job (and a few fun items that show your personality) make the difference between traditional headshots and true branding.
Think about what you plan to use these photos for in the next quarter and the items you listed in your questionnaire are start pulling them together now so you're not running around right before your session. Disco balls anyone?!
