I gave myself a reading goal in 2024.
I've always been a reader. I generally have at least two books (one audio and one physical) going on at any given time. So I decided to try and read 40 books this year. Well I smashed that! Here's what I read, somewhat in order, in 2024:

I enjoyed her books Fourth Wing and Iron Flame so much I wanted to try out one of her non-fantasy books. I was not disappointed! A memorable meet-cute and good love story.
Also, you can preorder the third in the fantasy series, Onyx Storm now!

A book club pick. I loved the thought problems behind this book. Lots of interesting socio-economic what ifs.

I love Sarah J. Maas. This is probably my least favorite of her series, but it's a fun world and magic structure. The way the first book ends is bad ass.

This was one of my book club's picks. I listened to it and highly recommend it because the voice actress is fab.

This was my first re-read of the year, but I heard that Crescent City 3 had an overlap with ACOTAR so I wanted to be fresh when it came out. If you haven't read these books, do.

Best series of the year! Full disclosure, I'm still in the middle of tandem reading Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn, but y'all. It's. So. Good.

I think I didn't like the reader for the audiobook and that put me off. I've heard this is a really great series so I plan to continue in 2025.

I've never read fan fiction before but this was amazing. It's been taken down because she has been picked up by a publisher to rewrite without all the Harry Potter world. I cannot wait.

I feel like I ended this year well with this one. A little dark, but mostly funny. Great banter and a really witty writing style.
